Prepare a page for social sharing

Enter a title, description, and absolute page URL. Add an image URL and useful alt text, choose the content and card types, and optionally enter an account such as @youraccount. Copy the generated Open Graph and Twitter Card tags into the page’s <head>.

For a tutorial, choose article and use an image that illustrates its result. The output escapes attribute values and includes both tag families. Replace existing equivalent tags to avoid conflicting metadata.

What the preview can show

  • The card is an approximate layout. Its image area is a placeholder: image URLs are shown as text and are never loaded by this tool.
  • Use an image accessible to the platform’s crawler. This tool cannot verify its dimensions, content type, availability, or appearance.
  • Platforms control cropping, truncation, and the final card. They may cache earlier metadata after you publish changes.

After publishing

Check the shared URL with the target platform’s inspection tools. The article setting supplies the basic type; add publication times and other article-specific properties yourself if needed. These tags do not guarantee a card or search ranking.

Use the Meta Tag Generator for the document title, search description, and canonical link.
