# Verdant by MRHTML A forest-green and warm-cream landing page for a garden or landscape business, with serif typography, botanical line art, local photography, an editorial planting study, and a local garden-brief tool. ## Open it Unzip the folder and open `index.html` in a modern browser. Keep `styles.css`, `script.js`, and the `assets` folder beside it. No install, build, server, account, external font, or CDN is needed. Images are bundled locally and will also work offline. ## Make it yours 1. Replace the fictional studio name, services, headings, page title, description, and footer in `index.html`. Search for `Verdant`, `MRHTML`, and `fictional` to find example content. 2. Edit the `:root` variables in `styles.css` for your color palette. The display typeface is Georgia, using an installed system font. The body uses a system sans-serif stack. 3. Replace `assets/garden.webp` and `assets/fern.webp` with your own correctly licensed photos, or keep the supplied photos under their separate Unsplash license. Update image alt text and dimensions to match. Never present these stock planting photographs as your own completed client work. 4. Edit the space and feeling options in the HTML to customize the local garden brief. `script.js` assembles its plain-text result safely using `textContent`. 5. This is not a contact form. If you need real enquiries, replace the local exercise with your own verified contact destination or connect a suitable backend, add accurate submission/error handling, and explain how you handle submitted information. Do not claim an enquiry was sent before a real service confirms it. 6. Before publishing your real customized site, remove ``, use accurate metadata, and add a canonical URL for your actual domain if appropriate. The directive is included to keep the uncustomized demo out of search results. 7. Upload the complete folder to a static host if you choose. Verify the deployed files, image paths, navigation, and any real contact destination. ## Demo behavior Verdant is a fictional studio concept by MRHTML. Service descriptions are illustrative, not a booking offer. The photographs are planting inspiration, not a portfolio of completed commissions. No real studio location, telephone number, recipient, client, or appointment availability is claimed. The garden-brief form creates a local, temporary text summary. It sends no network requests, stores nothing, and books nothing. User input is handled as literal text. Editing a field clears the old preview; Start again resets the form. Copy useful text before leaving the page because it is not saved. Keep personal contact details out of the demo. With JavaScript off, the rest of the site, all navigation, photos, and FAQs work. The local preview button is disabled and an explanation appears; the planning questions remain usable as a checklist. No form is submitted without JavaScript. ## Accessibility and motion The page provides a skip link, native labeled selects, visible focus, native details/summary FAQs, responsive layouts down to 320 CSS pixels, meaningful photo descriptions, and reduced-motion styles. The garden-brief preview announces its result. Recheck accessibility and contrast after customization; this is not complete accessibility certification. ## Files and license - `index.html`, `styles.css`, and `script.js`: original standalone template. - `assets/garden.webp`: optimized garden image by Tatyana Rubleva. - `assets/fern.webp`: optimized fern image by Luca Bravo. - `ASSETS.md`: exact photo sources, license, verification date, and dimensions. - `LICENSE`: MIT license for original code, documentation, and line art.
