# Homestead An original property collection template by MRHTML. Bone paper, ink text, burgundy accents, a portrait architectural introduction, substantial listing rows, and a neighborhood notebook create a considered real-estate presentation. All homes, specifications, prices, and neighborhoods are fictional examples, not available properties. ## Run locally Open `index.html` in a current browser. No installation, build process, server, database, account, API, external fonts, or network connection is required. Keep the full folder together, including the three optimized WebP references in `assets/`. ## Replace the examples 1. Edit the title, description, brand, introductory copy, and demo notices to match a real authorized business. Do not imply that Homestead is a licensed agency or that stock imagery shows an actual offer. 2. For each `.property`, update the visible title, description, price, specification values, and disclosures. Update `data-name`, unique `data-key`, `data-type`, numeric `data-price`, and numeric `data-bedrooms` to match. The numeric price is the sort value; it must agree with the visible display currency and amount. 3. Replace every photograph with authorized images of the actual property if publishing a real listing. Update gallery link `href`, thumbnail `src`, `alt`, `width`, `height`, and `data-caption` together. Independent reference images in this demo do not substantiate room counts, condition, ownership, floor area, access, or sale status. 4. Keep filter option values aligned with `data-type`. Sort options support initial order, ascending/descending example price, and descending bedrooms. Additional sort modes need corresponding code. 5. Replace fictional neighborhood sketches with verified local information. Avoid unsupported claims about safety, schools, accessibility, travel time, investment performance, or future value. The original CSS streetscape is decorative, not a map. 6. Add a verified inquiry route in `#inquiry` when you can support it. No real agent, address, contact recipient, viewing appointment, transaction, financing service, or reservation is included. 7. Adapt palette variables and spacing in `styles.css`; the fonts use installed Georgia/Times New Roman and Arial/Helvetica. Keep visible focus, readable contrast, and the mobile listing order. 8. Remove or change the demo `` before publishing your finished content. Add your own canonical URL, social metadata, and any accurate disclosures required for the real business and location. ## Filters and shortlist Filters, sorting, and shortlisting operate only on the three local articles. The shortlist is a JavaScript `Set` for this page view. It is never stored in cookies, localStorage, or a backend. Reloading clears it. Reset view restores the default type, order, and all-homes view while retaining the current temporary shortlist; it does not pretend to erase or save an account. The result count and empty state reflect combined type and shortlist filters. Removing a visible item in a shortlist-only view returns keyboard focus to the shortlist filter if the item becomes hidden. Otherwise its button retains focus even when DOM ordering changes. Selecting a home for inquiry updates a local summary, then moves to that section. Nothing is sent. Without JavaScript, every listing and native disclosure remains visible. Filtering/sorting/shortlist controls are hidden until initialized. The three photo links still open local full images. ## Reference gallery A native dialog shows the three independent architecture references in original collection order, regardless of current filtering. It is a reference gallery, not a tour of one property. Previous/Next wrap; ArrowLeft/ArrowRight work; Escape or Close dismisses it; Tab/Shift+Tab stay within its controls; focus returns to the opener. Modified clicks retain normal local-link behavior. If native `dialog` is unavailable, links keep their normal image destinations. The classic script runs in a local file or opaque `sandbox="allow-scripts"` preview. No forms, same-origin permission, fetches, persistence, modules, analytics, or third-party scripts are required. ## Limits and licenses This is a static demonstration, not a property portal, market valuation, real offer, financial recommendation, property survey, or transaction service. Local filtering cannot verify current inventory or availability. All example dimensions and prices must be replaced with substantiated information before real use. Original code, sample writing, and CSS illustration use the included MIT license. Photos use their separate Unsplash terms; see `ASSETS.md` for source pages, creators, retrieval details, hashes, and rights limitations. Keep `Designed by MRHTML` with `rel="nofollow"` when using this branded template; the MIT license has no added attribution condition.
