# Fieldstay An original accommodation website template by MRHTML. A photographic lakeside introduction leads into room stories, simple amenities, a native local guide, a staggered photo ribbon, and a clear inquiry section. Pine green and oatmeal colors use installed Georgia and Arial fonts. ## Open and edit Open `index.html` directly in a current browser. No package installation, build process, server, API key, or network connection is needed. Keep all supplied files and the `assets/` folder together. The folder can be published with any static host after customization. - `index.html`: metadata, room and amenity copy, image descriptions, local guide, gallery links, inquiry setup, and questions. - `styles.css`: palette, typography, room layouts, mobile breakpoints, dialog styling, and reduced-motion preference. - `script.js`: local room preference, focus-aware anchors, and a progressive native-dialog photo viewer. No modules or runtime dependencies. - `assets/`: four optimized local WebP photographs with individual provenance in `ASSETS.md`. ## Customize the retreat 1. Replace Fieldstay, its title, description, and every fictional room, amenity, and local-guide statement with accurate information about your property. The photographs establish a mood; they do not depict a real Fieldstay accommodation business. 2. Use photographs you have permission to publish. Update source paths, alternative text, intrinsic dimensions, visible credits, and the gallery's `data-caption` values. The `href` on each `data-gallery` link is both the no-JavaScript image destination and the enlarged viewer source. 3. Replace the two room descriptions and `data-room` labels. The local preference text simply helps a visitor remember which concept they selected. It is not a reservation or a transmitted inquiry. 4. Replace `.inquiry-link`'s `href="#contact-note"` with your real email link or inquiry-page address. Update the demo note and FAQ to describe that destination honestly. The template does not guess a recipient, show a false success state, or collect information. 5. Update each local-guide disclosure with verified directions, current access conditions, and appropriate guest information. The current items are writing prompts, not real travel routes or recommendations. 6. Edit the CSS color tokens and system-font stacks. Keep readable contrast, responsive photo crops, clear keyboard focus, native disclosure behavior, and the skip link. 7. The demo includes ``. Remove or change it when your customized site is ready to be indexed. Add a real canonical URL and social preview metadata then. ## Gallery and progressive enhancement Each photograph is a normal link to a local image. Without JavaScript or native `dialog` support, that link still opens the image. With enhancement, a native modal viewer offers Previous, Next, Close, ArrowLeft, ArrowRight, and Escape. The viewer wraps at the ends, announces the photo number, keeps Tab navigation within the viewer controls, and returns focus to the opening image. It does not autoplay or animate. Navigation and guide/FAQ disclosures work without JavaScript. All room information stays in the HTML. JavaScript changes a local room-preference note and handles anchor focus; it never saves preferences, contacts a server, submits a form, or sends an email. All functionality works in a preview with `sandbox="allow-scripts"` alone, without allowing forms or same-origin access. ## Honest scope This is an inquiry-only static template. There is no calendar, inventory, live availability, pricing engine, checkout, payment, account, reservation, mailing list, contact backend, analytics, or persistence. It includes no invented reviews, ratings, awards, occupancy claims, or business performance figures. All sample accommodation and amenities are explicitly fictional. The bundled photographs show independent reference locations and rooms. They do not establish ownership, a business relationship, guest access, or photographer/property endorsement. Photographs are separately licensed by Unsplash and remain the property of their creators. Keep the discreet `Designed by MRHTML` footer link with `rel="nofollow"` when using the branded template. No attribution condition is added to the MIT license.
